PORTFOLIO > THE BLACK SWAN EVENT 2010

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_swan_theory:

The black swan theory or theory of black swan events is a metaphor that encapsulates the concept that the event is a surprise (to the observer) and has a major impact. After the fact, the event is rationalized by hindsight.

The 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil disaster was a black swan event. Using swans as a visual symbol, the forms were developed from the remnants of umbrellas strewn about after a torrential rainstorm.
